Parts Catalog Expands: 35,000+ Parts, Dedicated Part Pages, and Live Donor Search
The YardSnipe Parts Catalog is becoming a much bigger part of the search experience.
More than 35,000 parts are already available to search, and the latest update connects those records directly with live salvage-yard vehicles in new ways.
Users can now move from a vehicle to catalog-matched parts, from a part to compatible donor vehicles, and from those donor results directly back into YardSnipe’s live vehicle inventory.
Parts Are Now Connected to Vehicle Detail Pages
When YardSnipe has catalog-matched parts for a live vehicle, the vehicle detail page now makes that coverage easier to find.
A subtle notice near the top of the page lets users know that parts are available farther down the vehicle details. The parts section then shows the catalog records currently matched to that vehicle.
Each part can be opened on its own dedicated page for deeper research.
Every Part Can Have Its Own Detail Page
Instead of keeping part information inside a temporary pop-up, YardSnipe now supports dedicated URLs for individual part records.
Depending on the information currently available for a record, a part page can include details such as:
- Part name and category
- Vehicle application and platform information
- OEM, aftermarket, and interchange references when supported by the research
- Fitment and verification information
- Pull difficulty and estimated pull time
- Used-value and yard-price information when available
- Potential live donor vehicles currently found in connected yard inventory
This also makes parts easier to share and gives YardSnipe a permanent place to continue improving each record as more evidence is verified.
Search for a Part, Then Search for the Donor
The Parts Catalog can now be searched directly at YardSnipe Parts.
From there, users can choose a specific part and search current live inventory for vehicles that match the part’s supported application or platform.
Part → compatible application → potential live donor → exact YardSnipe vehicle page.
That can expand a junkyard search beyond the exact year, make, and model somebody started with.
Donor results are application-level candidates. Salvage inventory can change quickly, and exact configuration, connectors, options, physical part numbers, condition, and actual part presence should still be verified before pulling.
35,000+ Parts Are Already Available
The larger enrichment project has encountered additional unforeseen delays, but the Parts Catalog itself is already live and useful.
More than 35,000 parts are currently available in the database, and additional records continue moving through YardSnipe’s research and verification pipeline.
We would rather publish evidence-backed information progressively than lower the verification standard just to increase the number faster.
More Enrichment Is Still Coming
The long-term goal remains much larger than the records currently published.
YardSnipe is continuing to develop the research systems used to identify part applications, OEM references, interchange evidence, pull information, market information, and other useful salvage data.
As additional records clear those checks, they can be added to the catalog and immediately become part of the same vehicle-to-part and part-to-donor search system.
